1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") describe the basis on which you may use the Cariverr website at cariverr.com and the delivery services described on it. The service is provided by CARIVERR, INC., 82 Hawthorne Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112 ("Cariverr", "we", "us").

By using this website or requesting a delivery, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Where you have signed a separate written agreement with Cariverr, that agreement governs to the extent of any conflict.

2. What Cariverr is

Cariverr is a local on-demand delivery marketplace. We connect customers and businesses with independent delivery partners who perform deliveries. Delivery partners are self-employed businesses. They are not employees, agents or representatives of Cariverr, and Cariverr does not control the manner in which a delivery partner performs a delivery.

Cariverr offers two service tiers: Standard and Express.

3. Where the service is available

Delivery is currently offered in New York and Pennsylvania, including New York City. Cariverr does not currently accept delivery orders with a New Jersey pickup or dropoff point. Availability is described on the Coverage page, which forms part of these Terms.

4. Requesting a delivery

• You must provide accurate pickup and dropoff details, timing, and any handling requirements.
• A price is quoted for the delivery requested and shown to you before you confirm.
• A delivery is only confirmed once accepted by a delivery partner. Until then, a request may remain unmatched and may not be fulfilled.
• You must have lawful authority to send the items requested, and the items must not be prohibited, unlawful, dangerous or restricted.

5. Prohibited items and unlawful use

You must not use Cariverr to send anything unlawful or anything whose transport requires a licence or authorisation you do not hold. You must not use the service to harass, threaten or defraud anyone, or to interfere with the platform.

6. Prices, payment and taxes

Prices are quoted per delivery before you confirm, and may vary with distance, timeliness of the request, demand and the service tier you select. Applicable taxes are charged as required by law. Business and partnership accounts may be invoiced on agreed terms.

7. Delivery partners

Delivery partners are independent delivery partners. They are not employees of Cariverr. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, joint venture or partnership relationship between Cariverr and any delivery partner. In New York City, Cariverr applies the app-based delivery minimum-pay standard under Local Law 115, topping up any shortfall.

8. Proof of delivery, risk and claims

• Delivery completion is recorded against the job, including photo and timestamp evidence where the job calls for it.
• Packaging and the suitability of items for transport are your responsibility unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
• If something goes wrong with a delivery, contact us promptly at contact@cariverr.com so we can investigate while the details are fresh.
• Any claim process, liability cap or insurance arrangement that applies to your deliveries is set out in the agreement you have with Cariverr, not on this page.

9. Acceptable use of the website

You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, scrape it at a volume that degrades it, reverse-engineer protected components, or use it to build a competing dataset.

10. Intellectual property

The Cariverr name, logo, and the content of this website are owned by or licensed to CARIVERR, INC.. You may not re-colour, trace, stretch or otherwise alter our brand assets. Use of our marks requires our written permission, except for accurate, unaltered editorial reference.

11. Disclaimers

The website and its content are provided on an "as is" basis for general information. Delivery timing, and the availability of delivery partners in any area, are not guaranteed. We do not promise response times, delivery volumes or service levels except where we have agreed them in writing.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service develops. The current version is always published on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions about these Terms: operations@cariverr.com.
