2. Scope

This policy covers the Cariverr corporate website and the Cariverr delivery service. It does not cover third-party websites or services we link to, which have their own policies.

3. Information we collect

• Contact details — name, email address, telephone number, business name.
• Delivery details — pickup and dropoff addresses, timing, item and handling notes, and delivery records.
• Delivery partner onboarding and verification — identity document data, date of birth, licence details and vehicle details, where you apply to deliver.
• Background screening information — where screening is carried out, information returned by the screening provider as permitted by law.
• Payment and payout information — handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
• Technical information — IP address, browser type and pages requested, generated by our web servers when you use this website.
• Communications — the content of messages you send us.

4. Why we use it

• To arrange and perform deliveries, including matching a delivery partner and providing tracking.
• To verify identity and conduct background screening for delivery partners.
• To calculate delivery partner pay and apply the New York City minimum-pay floor.
• To operate, secure and improve the service, and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
• To respond to enquiries and provide support.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only where it is necessary:

• With the matched delivery partner, to the extent needed to complete the delivery (pickup and dropoff details, contact and handling notes).
• With service providers acting on our instructions, including an identity verification provider, a consumer reporting agency for screening where applicable, a payment processor, and hosting and infrastructure providers.
• Where the law requires it, for example in response to valid legal process or to a regulator.
• In a business transaction, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use the personal information described here to train third-party advertising models.

6. Cookies and browser storage

This corporate website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Only one browser-storage preference is used, and only when you choose it. Full details are on the Cookie / Privacy Choices page.

7. Screening and FCRA

Where background screening is carried out through a consumer reporting agency, it is conducted in line with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including the required disclosures and your written authorisation. You may contact support@cariverr.com with questions about your own screening.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above — to provide the service, meet record-keeping and tax obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements — after which it is deleted or de-identified. Screening and identity records are kept no longer than necessary and are subject to legal retention requirements.

9. Security

We apply access controls, encryption of data at rest, and scoped credentials to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe you have found a vulnerability, report it to security@cariverr.com.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• request access to the personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of information that is inaccurate;
• request deletion of information we no longer need for a lawful purpose;
• object to or request restriction of certain processing;
• request a portable copy of information you provided to us.

The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
